Hey fellow travelers! Traveler Kim here. ✈️ I recently got back from an amazing trip to Saipan with my friends, and let me tell you, it was the perfect mix of relaxation, epic activities, and sightseeing! When I first started planning, I just pictured us chilling on the beach, but there’s so much to organize—rental cars, tours, and airport pickups! We ended up booking everything through a tour agency, which made the whole trip incredibly smooth.
If you’re gearing up for a Saipan adventure, look no further! I’ve put together our exact 3-night, 5-day itinerary, complete with tour details, car rentals, and my top tips so you can just read this and be totally ready to go. Let’s dive in! 🌴
Our Full 3 Nights 5 Days Saipan Itinerary

Here’s the grand overview of our trip:
DAY 1: Incheon → Arrive in Saipan → Hotel Check-in
DAY 2: Grotto Snorkeling & Freediving → Mustang Rental Car Drive → Ladder Beach Starlight Tour
DAY 3: Managaha Island + Parasailing → Sea Turtle Hopping Tour
DAY 4: Northern Saipan Tour + Jungle Course → Spa Ocean Massage
DAY 5: Early Morning Airport Transfer → Flight Home
Just resting felt like a waste, but packing everything with tours would be exhausting. Mixing a bit of action, sightseeing, and relaxation was the ultimate sweet spot! 🍹
Day 1: Airport Pickup & Hotel Transfer

Most flights to Saipan arrive in the wee hours of the morning, so figuring out how to get to your hotel is super important. Here’s the catch: Saipan has no Uber, barely any public transit, and finding a taxi is tough!
That’s why we booked an airport pickup service in advance. Even with a slight flight delay, our driver was waiting right there. Starting the trip without any stress was priceless!
Speaking of stress-free travel, right after we landed, I pulled up our hotel details using my phone without missing a beat. Don’t waste your precious vacation time hunting for a local SIM card at the airport—just grab our instant email eSIM before you fly, and you’ll automatically connect to the local network the second you touch down! 📱✨
We stayed at the Mariana Resort (3 nights with breakfast included), which was super close to the Garapan downtown area. Highly recommend it for getting around easily!
Day 2: Grotto Snorkeling, Mustang Drive & Starlight Tour

First up was the Grotto! If you go to Saipan, this world-famous underwater cave diving spot is an absolute must. The way the sunlight streams into the cave is practically magical. We snorkeled, and the water was the most vibrant emerald blue. Wear your swimsuit under your clothes and don’t forget your aqua shoes and a waterproof phone case! 📸
Next, renting a car. Since Saipan’s attractions are pretty spread out, I definitely suggest renting a car for at least one day. We rented a bright pink Mustang convertible for 6 hours! Driving down the Micro Beach coastal road with the top down felt like we were starring in a movie. Don’t forget your passport and international driver’s permit!
To cap off the night, we did the Ladder Beach Starlight Tour. Saipan evenings can be pretty quiet, so this was perfect. They explain the constellations, and we roasted marshmallows over a bonfire while getting premium starlight photos taken. The Milky Way background gave us the absolute best photos of the trip! 🌌
Day 3: Managaha Island, Parasailing & Turtle Hopping Tour

Managaha Island is always a top recommendation for Saipan, and for good reason! It’s a tiny island you reach by boat and has the best snorkeling. We booked a package that included parasailing. Soaring over that crystal-clear ocean is a memory I’ll never forget! 🪂
Later, we went on an Ocean Star Turtle Hopping Tour! We did some boat fishing, snorkeled with sea turtles and stingrays (we spotted them at the Ice Cream Point!), and even got to eat fresh sashimi right on the boat from what we caught. Yum! 🍜
Day 4: Northern Saipan Tour & Jungle Course

If driving overseas makes you nervous, the Northern Saipan Tour is a fantastic choice. A local Korean guide took us to Banzai Cliff, the Peace Memorial, Bird Island Observatory, and the famous Saipan Sign. They even told us the history behind each spot!
We added the jungle course to our tour, which took us up to the Mount Tapochau Observatory and the Saipan Cathedral. It was the perfect way to see both the natural beauty and the historical sites all in one go.
Day 5: Spa Ocean Massage & Heading Home

For our final day, we booked a massage at Spa Ocean. It was the absolute best way to end the trip because they offer hotel pickup, luggage storage, shower facilities, and an airport drop-off service! We got amazing massages, showered comfortably, and headed straight to the airport feeling completely refreshed. 💆♀️
